Jharkhand, endowed with rich natural resources and a vibrant mosaic of indigenous cultures rooted in ecological harmony, stands at a pivotal crossroads. The Act4Earth Conference, convened by the Ecoserve Development Foundation, serves as a high-level platform bringing together government leaders, industry stakeholders, and grassroots practitioners. It calls for a bold departure from extractive economic paradigms towards nurturing resilient, regenerative ecosystems. This landmark dialogue seeks to spark transformative climate action through forward-looking policy engagement, technological innovation, and the amplification of community-led solutions across the state.
Now, we have to decide how to compensate for the environmental loss, things would not change in a day. We have to make continuous efforts. Around 11 years back, I had appealed to replace the system of giving bouquets to guests with saplings at government functions. It has become a practice now.
